10. Needle in a Lemon
Do you need just a little lemon juice but hate wasting an entire lemon? Don't rush to the store for bottled juice—you can extract the juice without cutting the fruit. All you need is a thick needle. Roll the lemon on the countertop with your palm to soften it, then insert the needle lengthwise into the bottom. Squeeze the lemon firmly, and watch the juice flow out through the tiny hole. Since the lemon isn't exposed to oxygen like a cut one, it won't spoil quickly. You can keep the lemon in the fridge for a while longer.
