Babies have extremely delicate skin that can easily become irritated by fabric softener residues on their clothing. Additionally, many baby garments are made with flame-resistant properties, and fabric softener can diminish their effectiveness. A better alternative is to use a small amount of vinegar during the rinse cycle.
