4. Garlic boosts your attractiveness
This may seem counterintuitive, but it's true. We all know the effect garlic has on breath odor. However, did you realize that garlic also influences your body odor? A 2016 study found that garlic's impact on body smell is largely positive. Participants in a scent test described the odors of those who had eaten garlic as "less intense" and "more attractive." This could be due to garlic's antimicrobial properties, which reduce the bacteria responsible for unpleasant sweat smells. Keep in mind: this works best when you eat garlic a day before your date. We certainly don't recommend eating it right before.
