So what is the correct way to open a tin can? It all comes down to how you position the opener's wheels. Instead of placing them vertically with one wheel on top of the can and the other underneath, try a horizontal approach. Align the opener so that one wheel sits on the inside of the can's rim and the other on the outside. When you turn the handle this way, the entire edge of the lid is cut free, making it effortless to lift off the top. No more struggling with partially attached lids!
