About Opening Windows
We understand that getting into a sweltering car and keeping the windows up isn't appealing. You can let some heat escape by opening the windows about five minutes before you plan to leave. Another trick is to open and close the door a few times to push out the hot air—if you're up for it. On extremely hot days, this might be the last thing you want to do. Once you're back in the car, close the windows (and doors, of course) and turn on the air conditioning. The A/C works most efficiently when the car is moving.
