It is possible to remove certain types of dents yourself. All you need is a kettle with hot water and a toilet plunger. Here is how it works.

1. Once the water is boiling, carefully take the kettle outside to your car. Pour the water directly over the dent and the area around it. Be very careful while doing this, since the water is extremely hot.
2. Next, take the toilet plunger and place it over the dent. Gently pull the plunger toward you. Do this slowly and repeat the motion a few times while working around the area.
