On Facebook, Shawna posted pictures of her daughter's legs to alert other parents. Dawna told 41 Action News that she had never heard her daughter scream like that when she went down the slide. Although signs around the playground warn about hot surfaces, Dawna believes they are insufficient because they are easy to miss. She added: "Everyone thinks, 'That wouldn't happen to me or my child. I could never let this happen.' But it can happen to you. It really can."
