3. Cast iron pan
A cast iron pan should never go in the dishwasher, as aggressive chemicals in dishwasher tablets can ruin its coating. Fortunately, you don't need those products. Just use a potato! Sprinkle some salt into the pan and scrub with the flat side of half a potato. Rinse with water and dry with paper towels or a dishcloth.
