Descaling Process
You should descale your coffee maker once a month. Failing to do so will slow down the brewing process and affect the taste of your coffee. To descale, fill the water reservoir halfway with white vinegar and the rest with water. Turn on the machine and let it brew until the pot is half full. Then, turn it off and let it sit for 30 minutes. After that, turn it back on and run a full cycle using only water to flush out the vinegar. Thoroughly rinse the carafe as well. You may need to repeat this procedure to remove all the mineral buildup.
