Disinfect with Bleach
Bleach is excellent for eliminating tough bacteria from your scouring pad. Fill a bucket one-quarter full of water and add three tablespoons of bleach. Submerge the sponge for at least five minutes. Then, remove it, wring thoroughly, and let it dry completely before reuse. Be cautious with bleach: protect your clothing and wear household gloves when handling the sponge.
