Here's what you do
Add a layer of potting soil to your planter, then place a raw egg on top. Cover the egg with more soil, and plant your seeds or seedlings as usual. Over time, the egg will decompose and act as a natural fertilizer. Just be sure to use a raw egg, not a boiled one.
