How to Clean a Greasy Oven Door Like a Pro

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • To make the cleaning mixture, combine 300 grams of baking soda with 120 milliliters of water. Stir well until you get a thick paste. If needed, add a bit more water or baking soda to achieve the right consistency—the paste should not run when applied.
  • Dampen a soft cloth with hot water and use it to wipe away any loose food particles or dust.
  • Put on rubber gloves, then take a generous amount of the cleaning paste. Spread it over the glass door, making sure it doesn't drip. Use circular motions to distribute the paste evenly. Apply extra paste to especially dirty spots and gently scrub those areas with a damp cloth. Let the paste sit for 15 minutes.
  • Scrape off any excess paste with a plastic spatula. Use a wet, soft cloth to rinse away the remaining paste, then dry the glass with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Fill a spray bottle with distilled white vinegar. Spray the vinegar onto the glass three or four times. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Wipe off the vinegar with a damp, soft sponge. You'll see your oven door shine like never before!
