The Test
Researchers tested five high-quality SPF 50+ sunscreens designed for children: Eucerin Kids Sun, Nivea Sun Kids, Garnier Ambre Solaire Kids, Solait Kids, and Aptonia Kids. “A year later, we retested them under the same conditions as the initial test,” the team explained. Throughout the year, the lotions were exposed to both high and low temperatures and were opened frequently over a two-week period. “The results showed that all products still had an SPF of 50+ and maintained their UVA protection,” says Lievens. “This indicates that sunscreens can be used for longer than a year.”
