Foreign Object in the Abdomen
X-rays revealed a sharp object in his abdomen: a pair of surgical scissors that had been left inside him for 18 years. His organs had grown around the scissors, encasing them completely. Specialists were brought in, and it took over three hours to remove the scissors. Vietnam's Ministry of Health has ordered the hospital to investigate who was responsible for this grave mistake. The hospital director said it will be challenging, as medical records are typically only kept for 15 years. What an extraordinary story!
