Tomato Ketchup
In the past, people stored tomato ketchup in the pantry or cupboard because it had a long shelf life. However, that has changed. Modern ketchup contains much less salt than its predecessors, causing it to spoil more quickly and even develop mold. Storing the bottle in the refrigerator significantly slows down this process.
