“Sarah, take Leo!” Mark yelled as he ran into the nursery. He grabbed Leo from the crib and handed him to Sarah, who stood frozen in the hall. Inside, Duke was spinning in circles, growling and snapping at the air near the wall vent. Every time Mark tried to approach, Duke lunged toward the vent and then spun back, teeth bared.
