Cross-Contamination Risks
Rinsing raw chicken under the tap can inadvertently spread bacteria throughout your kitchen via water splashes. Those bacteria might land in a drinking glass, on freshly washed vegetables, or on your cutting board. This process, known as cross-contamination, can make you very sick! So, skip the rinse. Instead, ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly all the way through. Also, remember to wash any utensils that touched the raw chicken with soap and water immediately.
