The 15-Minute Fix
Start by removing the toilet tank lid and setting it aside safely. Flush the toilet and watch what happens as the tank refills. Look for anything that doesn't reset properly. If the flapper doesn't close fully, gently press it into place—sometimes it just needs a nudge. If the chain is too tight, twisted, or caught, loosen it so the flapper can drop naturally without being pulled upward.
